Library staff can e-mail many items that are unique to the Library's collection, including unreported opinions, superseded statutes, and laws of other states.Interlibrary Loan
Although materials in the library do not circulate to the public, we do lend some materials to other libraries. Check with your local library about its interlibrary loan procedures.MDEC E-Filing Support
The Library staff has been trained to assist attorneys and self-represented litigants with the new MDEC E-File & Serve system. In coordination with other law libraries throughout the state, State Law Library staff can assist with registering, filing and retrieving documents from MDEC.Photocopiers and Microform Readers
The library has two self-service photocopiers/scanners. The microform readers have attached printers. All copies and printouts are $.50 per page.Public Computers and WiFi Access
The library has eight public computers with access to the Internet and many major legal and news databases. Public computers are networked to a single printer at the Information Desk (printouts may be retrieved upon appropriate payment.
The Library offers free WiFi access throughout the library. The connection is secure and encrypted. A password is required and is available at the reference desk.Reference
The librarians at the Maryland State Law Library are committed to the highest level of customer service. In person, via e-mail or by phone, the staff can help both novice and advanced researchers.
