The Library offers free WiFi access throughout the library. The connection is secure and encrypted. A password is required and is available at the reference desk.
The librarians at the Maryland State Law Library are committed to the highest level of customer service. In person, via e-mail, by phone or through chat (limited hours), the staff can help both novice and advanced researchers.
The library has eight public computers with access to the Internet and many major legal and news databases.
Photocopiers and Microfilm Printers
The library has two self-service copy machines. Public computers are networked to a single computer at the Information Desk (printouts may be retrieved upon appropriate payment. The microfilm reader has an attached printer. All copies are 50 cents per page.
Library staff can e-mail or fax many items that are unique to the Library's collection, including unreported opinions, superseded statutes, and laws of other states.
Although materials in the library do not circulate to the public, we do lend some materials to other libraries. Check with your local library about its interlibrary loan procedures.
